Product Information

The AVE VSI-Pro and VSI-Pro HD Max CCTV Overlay Module is a physical unit that links your CCTV system with your POS system terminal for helping with loss prevention, evidence recording and staff training purposes.

It overlays a text box onto the video image with the details of a progressing transaction, showing the date, time, the operator name, the description of the item being scanned/sold, the price and the overall transaction total and payment method onto the cctv images in real-time. Various parameters for the position of the on-screen Overlay text box, the number of scroll lines, the duration of display etc can be easily programmed.

Each VSI-Pro unit is connected to a single CCTV camera and a single POS terminal. If you have multiple terminals to cover, then additional VSI Pro / VSI-Pro HD Max units can be connected for each additional terminal.

Compatibility:
It is compatible with our SamTouch and CES Touch based POS systems. It can also work with various other POS Systems and Cash Registers - please check compatibility with your POS system provider prior to purchase.

Connections:
The VSI-Pro will overlay the characters on almost any input video source. The video input can be virtually any baseband or composite video source. The VSI-Pro will accept NTSC, RS-170, RS-330, CCIR, PAL or SECAM video formats. The Video input to the VSI-Pro is a standard BNC connector, terminated at 75 [ohms].

The VSI-Pro model works with analogue CCTV systems. The enhanced VSI-Pro HD Max works with HD TVI, CVI and AHD systems. Choose your required model in the Options box above.

Notes:
1. The price of the CCTV Overlay Module is for supply only. If you require additional services to install the unit and integrate it with your CCTV and POS / Cash Register system then additional fees will apply for specialist technical consultancy and/or a site-visit.

2. Co-axial (RG-59/U) video cables and BNC connections for linking the CCTV Overlay Module to your camera and DVR/Monitor are not included in the package - please see the User Guide (link below) for additional details of the video in/out connections.
