Labelling Scales with Keypad |
Hanging Scales for Seafood sales
Touch screen scales allow you to have structured screens for your products (eg. Chicken, Lamb, Beef etc) and can update dynamically as you add/delete products. The buttons can be sized, colour coded and incorporate an image if desired making these labelling machines more intuitive and easier to use.
The scales can be operated in labelling mode or can be operated in full POS mode, with the optional addition of a cash drawer and barcode scanner to provide full cash register facilities or set to Self Service mode. Multiple scales may be networked together for dynamic updating and consolidated reports. Optional PC software or a cloud-based portal allows easier remote management of the scales. Integrated card payment processing is available on the Avery machines where the merchant account is arranged through ourselves.
AVERY X PRO SERIES FEATURES EXPLAINED
What does 'AVR' mean?
AVR on Avery Berkel scales stands for Automatic Variable Resolution. It means the scale automatically changes its weighing precision depending on the item being weighed, so it can use fine increments for light products and larger increments for heavier ones.
For example a 6kg AVR scale can weigh in 1g increments on weights upto 3kg, and 2g increments on weights between 3kg and 6kg. A 15kg AVR scale can weigh to 2g increments upto 6kg, and to 5g increments between 6kg and 15kg. A 30kg AVR scale weighs to 2g increments upto 15kg and 5g increments between 15kg and 30kg. Whereas a non-AVR 30kg scale would always weigh in 5g increments from 0.00g to 30kg.
What is 'ValuMax' technology?
Scales can fall out of being level if they’re moved, knocked or simply not adjusted
over time. Research has shown that on average, scales are 1.5 degrees out of being level. Displayed weights and prices favour the customer, where they ultimately
pay less than they should. ValuMax automatically compensates for the scales being off level to ensure weighing accuracy and that the customer always pays the correct price for the quantity purchased.
What are 'Linerless' Labels?
Linerless labels are adhesive labels made as one continuous roll without a paper backing (liner), so each label sticks to the next with a special release coating and can be cut to any length; pre-cut labels (also called die-cut or linered labels) come in fixed sizes on a backing paper you peel off before sticking.
Whereas Pre-cut labels are individual stickers already separated by die cuts and backed by a liner (backing paper). After printing you peel each label from its liner and stick it down. They come in fixed sizes and formats, so you must stock the sizes you need.
Benefits of linerless labels:
* Much less waste: there’s no backing paper to throw away, lowering landfill and disposal costs. This also reduces slip hazards from discarded liners on the floor.
* More labels per roll: without a liner you can pack more label length into the same roll diameter, so you change rolls less often and store/ship fewer rolls.
* Flexible lengths and on-demand sizing: you can cut each label to exactly the length you need (text, nutrition info, promotions), reducing wasted label area compared with fixed-size labels.
* Cost and carbon benefits: less material and lower shipping weight can reduce costs and the carbon footprint across production and transport.
* Improved productivity: faster operation because you don’t peel liners, plus fewer printer jams and roll changes on busy lines.
Note: Not all machines support linerless labels, so check the specification of your intended machine.
