The SM-5300 EV X features an elevated 10.1-inch WSVGA capacitive operator touchscreen with 1024 x 600 resolution. Its full touchscreen interface removes the need for a conventional physical keypad and provides operators with a clear, user-friendly interface that displays the functions relevant to each operating mode.

A separate 10.1-inch customer display with 1024 x 600 resolution provides clear transaction information while also supporting native video playback. Retailers can use the customer-facing display for promotional images, personalised content, and dynamic advertisements to increase engagement at the point of sale.

The integrated printer delivers professional 300 dpi output at speeds of up to 150mm per second, subject to the sensitivity of the thermal media used. Standard liner label and receipt media are supported, while a linerless printer with automatic cutter is available as a factory-fitted option for businesses requiring flexible linerless labelling.

Linerless printing provides flexible label lengths while eliminating backing paper, helping reduce waste and simplify media handling. The optional linerless configuration supports roll diameters up to 95mm, while standard liner media supports larger rolls up to 125mm in diameter.

For system integration, the SM-5300 EV X includes Ethernet 10/100 Base-T, four USB 2.0 ports, and an RJ11 interface.
