The Avery Berkel X Pro 200 Colour Touch Screen Scale is a modern and versatile retail weighing solution designed for busy front-of-house environments.
Built with dual high-definition touchscreen displays, advanced POS functionality, and flexible weighing modes, it provides an efficient and user-friendly experience for both staff and customers in retail and food service settings.
Label content can be set to include your product name, weight, unit price and total price, use by / best before date, ingredients, allergens auto-highlighted in bold, storage advice, graphic brand logo, accreditation logos, store name & contact details. With the PC software, label templates can be edited with items in required position, font and font size with lines / borders where required. A nutrition panel label can also be printed.

AVERY X PRO OPTIONAL FEATURES
AVR:
AVR on Avery Berkel scales stands for Automatic Variable Resolution. It means the scale automatically changes its weighing precision depending on the item being weighed, so it can use fine increments for light products and larger increments for heavier ones.
For example a 6kg AVR scale can weigh in 1g increments on weights upto 3kg, and 2g increments on weights between 3kg and 6kg. A 15kg AVR scale can weigh to 2g increments upto 6kg, and to 5g increments between 6kg and 15kg. A 30kg AVR scale weighs to 2g increments upto 15kg and 5g increments between 15kg and 30kg. Whereas a non-AVR 30kg scale would always weigh in 5g increments from 0.00g to 30kg.
ValuMax Technology:
ValuMax is an optional feature on X Pro scales. Scales can fall out of being level if they’re moved, knocked or simply not adjusted over time. Research has shown that on average, scales are 1.5 degrees out of being level. Displayed weights and prices favour the customer, where they ultimately pay less than they should. ValuMax automatically compensates for the scales being off level to ensure weighing accuracy and that the customer always pays the correct price for the quantity purchased.
Storage:
The standard storage on the X Pro series is 16gb. This is sufficient if you will use the scale for counter labelling or self-service with upto around 200 products and associated images and some advertising images. However, if you intend to use the scale as a POS Cash Register, or you will have several hundred products, or will play promotional videos and multiple hi-res advertising images then we recommend you upgrade to a model with 120gb storage.

TECSTORE SCALE CONFIGURATION SERVICE
We can pre-configure the labelling scale prior to despatch so you receive it ready to use.
On the Standard Service this includes the following, with upto 1 working day's technician time at our premises:
- Set up of 1 label template with your store name/address and 1 graphic logo, and layout of product details (name, ingredients/allergens, unit price, weight, calculated price, storage advice)
- Set up of upto 10 product groups / departments and related screens
- Set up of upto 100 PLU's (products) with related details
- Set up of screen layouts and hot keys
- Set up of rear screen (if included) with branding and any advertising images / videos (upto 10 files)
Your PLU list should be provided in electronic form such as an Excel spreadsheet attachment. Logo's must be formatted in black & white to the required proportion and sent as a BMP or JPG file of appropriate resolution. Where you require product images on the touchscreen we do have a library of common items such as main English fruit and veg items and meat cuts, but otherwise you will need to provide us with each individual image on a white background in uniform size to the other product images, in JPG format or as PNG file with white or transparent background.
Turnaround time is typically 10-14 days from our receipt of all the required details and graphic files.
Following training, you would be able to add new products and update prices yourself. Ideally you should use the PC software or cloud app if you intend to add/change often. Although manager functions can be done directly on the scale note some functions like applying new images to buttons do require the software/app.
Where your configuration requirements exceed 1 day's work then you can purchase the Advanced Service (see Options above) which allows for upto 3 days technician time. Please contact us with your scale programming requirements so we can advise which service level is suitable for you.
