The new Magellan 9800i scanner & scale is the worlds first bar code scanner driven completely by high performance digital imaging, resulting in the ability to increase checkout performance in the worlds busiest checkout environments.

The Magellan 9800i scanner & scale offers a state-of-the-art family of imaging scanners and scanner/scales with high reliability designed to provide maximum throughput for both 1D and 2D bar codes.

Comparing the Datalogic Magellan Prices:
If comparing prices on Datalogic Magellan products with other suppliers, please be aware that the Magellan range includes 'Scanner Only' lower priced versions which do not include a scale, and cheaper 'Adaptive Scale' versions which also do not include a scale - the 'Adaptive' models are designed to connect to a separate 3rd-party scale. Our Datalogic Magellan product is an integrated Scanner and Scale with dual serial interface.

Includes Remote Pole Display (Single Head). Scale is 15kg capacity with minimum 0.005kg increments.

TDR - Top Down Reader - see Options above.
With a new and unique optional feature, the Top Down Reader (TDR) offers seamless scanning as a new way to interact with shoppers: a customer-facing imager allows shoppers to quickly and easily self-scan digital coupons from mobile devices, paper-based coupons and loyalty cards.

Special Notes:

1. Please check compatibility with your POS software provider prior to purchasing this item. This unit comes with 2 RS232 serial cables (1 each for the scanner and scale) and uses the same comms protocol as other Magellan 8300/8400/9300 scales.

2. This is a Shelf Mount unit, meaning you will need your tradesman to construct your own shelf for the unit inside your shop counter to securely sit on. The top surface of the scale/scanner will then flush with your counter-top. Alternatively please ask about the Flange Mount version. We recommend you await physical delivery of your Datalogic unit to your premises before commencing any carpentry work for its fitting.

3. Your local Weights & Measures, Trading Standards may need to attend on-site to calibrate and certify these scales. Additional fees may apply for certification.

4. The included Pole Display is a remote unit with its own fixing bracket and runs via a cable to the main unit.

5. Price quoted above is for supply only. If you require technical support to configure the 9800i scale for your POS software, physical installation or programming of scale settings and parameters then these specialist consultancy services are available at additional cost at our standard hourly fees.
