CES Touch is a well-established Windows-based POS software package. The latest version 11, updated in 2024, is full of comprehensive point of sale features and reports. It has been available in the UK and Ireland for over 15 years, is widely used throughout retail shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and delis.

The CES Touch POS software (also previously known as Sentinel Touch and Geller Touch) is available from TecStore as one-off purchase lifetime license, secured with a USB security dongle connected to your terminal. So unlike with dealers who supply it on a monthly/annual license fee, with TecStore there are no monthly/annual license renewal fees to ever pay.

As CES Touch is not a cloud-based system, it does not require a constant internet connection to operate, making it much faster to process each transaction, much more reliable in operation and giving you 100% total control of your system without relying on outside servers/websites or ongoing payment demands.

Being long established, it has comprehensive features tried and tested, support for a wide range of peripheral equipment (printers, scales, scanners, cctv links etc) and is not a 'work in progress' like many of the recently launched cloud-based POS services and credit card terminal companies who provide a very basic POS offering simply to push sale of their credit card machine services. CES Touch is a dedicated POS software package, not a bolt on to a card payment service.

Stock Management:
Keep track of available stock quantity, set re-order trigger levels, enter cost prices and suppliers, raise orders, receive deliveries, perform stock adjustments and stock takes. For advanced users, it also supports Recipe Management so you can perform stock control down to ingredients level. Various reports for stock levels, stock valuation, stock ordering, outstanding deliveries are available. The system also supports a Mobile PDA with inbuilt scanner for price checking, logging in new deliveries and performing a stock take.

Product Selection & Retail/Wholesale Product Barcode Labelling:
Products can be scanned by barcode, you can key-enter an item code, do a keyword search, or a series of on-screen menus and buttons can be easily set up to allow easy product selection. It also provides the option to print your own product labels with name, barcode and price printed on the label.

Food & Drink Sales:
Sales can be differentiated between Eat In and Take Out, with appropriate VAT rates applied. CES Touch allows you to set up various sizes such as Pint and Half Pint, Single/Double, wine glass sizes and Regular, Large etc. You can have pop-up choices such as White Bread / Brown Bread / Roll / Baguette, and additional pop-ups for sauce options, cooking preferences (eg. Rare, Medium, Well Done), salad options and other condiments. There are also various functions to facilitate pizza sizes, crusts, base and toppings, customized breakfasts with optional extras and set meal menus.

Tabs, Tables & Rooms:
The Charge Sheets facilities on CES Touch POS software allow you to keep track of open bills in a bar, pub, function room, hotel, restaurant as well as retail environments. You can log deposits, enter part payments, print interim and final bills. With the optional Graphical Table Plan the screen layout with tables and other furniture can be shown to simulate your real seating areas.

Security:
Operators can be set to login with a simple name button, a PIN code or use of a Dallas Key fob. For each operator, the Manager can specify which functions are restricted (eg. Voids, Refunds, access to Reports, Price Changes etc) and audit reports and sales/takings analysis by staff can be produced easily. If you have multiple tills, operators can be restricted to specific terminals.

Where you have multiple terminals, you will need to purchase a separate license for each optional module for each terminal. All terminals on a network are required to have the same optional modules.

CES Intelligence (Optional, annual subscription fee applies):
The optional CES Intelligence cloud-based back office module is available on annual subscription fee if required. This module allows real-time sales reporting and system management tasks such as price updates, adding new products and other enhancement managerial functions allowing you to monitor and control your business remotely, as well as easily manage multiple branches. Without the optional CES Intelligence, you can perform reporting and management tasks on the local system in manager mode.

Customer Accounts Module (Optional):
In addition to over the counter sales with a mini receipt, CES Touch also allows printing of A4 invoices, delivery notes and statements. You can maintain customer accounts with credit limits, email invoices/statements, build up Sales Orders for subsequent transfer to an invoice, and produce various related reports - so no need to key-enter handwritten sales dockets into an accounts package as invoices are automatically generated at the time of sale.

Bookings Diary (optional module):
The Bookings diary is ideal for hairdressers, beauty / nail salons, vets, taning salons, and other such service providers where services are provided by appointment. Appointments can be related to individual staff / stylists, or to specific resources (such as sunbed room), massage etc. You can set the time intervals (eg. 15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour, 1 Day and various other formats), and it provides options to take deposits and print booking confirmations. Note: This is a stand-alone diary - it does not link to a website or other online bookings, entries can only be made manually using the CES Touch software.
System Upgrades:
CES Touch was also previously known in other editions as Geller Touch and Sentinel Touch. If you currently have Geller Touch or Sentinel Touch, we can upgrade your existing licenses to the new CES Touch version 11 - please contact us for details.

Your equipment will need to have the minimum hardware specification as stated below, otherwise please contact us for a combined hardware and software package quote.


Hardware Requirements:
Your POS terminal will require a minimum 4gb of RAM (memory), at least 40gb free storage space (hard drive or SSD) for the program and auto backups, plus additional space for your data, a minimum 12" size touch screen, and either Windows 10 IoT, Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11, a spare USB 2.0 port for the software dongle which has to be permanently connected, and an RS232 serial port for connection of a Thermal Receipt Printer and Cash Drawer (unless you will use an Ethernet interface printer). The Windows edition must be the original factory-installed version that came on the POS terminal together with the terminal manufacturers drivers and utilities - if Windows has been reinstalled or upgraded to a different version we cannot guarantee the Touch software will work without issues. You will require additional ports for connection of any barcode scanner, weighing scale, cradle for mobile PDA, external pole/graphical display, CCTV interface, label printer(s) and other optional equipment. You will also require Windows full administrative access username and password. If using Windows 10 in S Mode, then S mode will need to be switched off. If there are other programs or drivers which interfere with the installation or operation of CES Touch you will need to remove them.

Technical Support:
Optional technical support, as listed in the Options box above, is offered for support setting up and using the CES Touch software only. It does not include support for any third-party products, including your own hardware, peripherals and 3rd-party software that you may wish to use with the CES Touch software - these additional services are available at separately at our standard hourly support fee rates and subject to our support service terms.

Price stated is for 1 non-transferable software license only for use on one terminal, Laptop/PC or tablet. Discounts are available for multiple terminals on the same network. Internet connection is initially required to validate the software license, for periodic re-validation and for initial remote set up & training (where purchased) and also for any 3rd-party add-on modules such as card payment processing, hotel systems interface and so on.
