The Datalogic Magellan 9900i is a new model integrated counter scale & scanner for busy supermarkets. It delivers a new look, durable design, industry-leading scanning performance and new options to enable Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the checkout.

Datalogic established a unique scanner style with our 2.7 inch / 6.8 cm tower (bonnet), and the 9900i continues to support this popular form factor. The lower height allows customers to better meet ADA compliance and improve the customer experience. Three chassis lengths, multiple check stand mounting options and the addition of a Top Down Reader (TDR) allows customers to customize a solution that best meets their assisted and self-checkout needs.

With basic and advanced configurations, the 9900i scanners and multi-plane imaging scanner/scales are the perfect Point of Sale (POS) companion for all high-volume check-out environments.

Comparing the Datalogic Magellan Prices:
If comparing prices on Datalogic Magellan products with other suppliers, please be aware that the Magellan range includes 'Scanner Only' lower priced versions which do not include a scale, and cheaper 'Adaptive Scale' versions which also do not include a scale - the 'Adaptive' models are designed to connect to a separate 3rd-party scale. Our Datalogic Magellan product is an integrated Scanner and Scale with dual serial interface.

The optional Magellan Customer Service Scanner (CSS) enables retailers to easily engage their customers in mobile commerce programs, allowing them to scan bar codes from their mobile phone screen or paper coupons while the cashier continues to scan regular items in parallel, resulting in a significant reduction in total transaction time.

Innovative features and options such as ScaleSentry™ shrink monitoring/prevention technology, AllWeighs™ platters and the support of all major EAS systems make 9900i purpose-built to help retailers reduce shrink at the POS.

Special Notes:
1. Please check compatibility with your POS software provider prior to purchasing this item. This unit comes with eitehr a USB cable or 2 RS232 serial cables (1 each for the scanner and scale) and uses the same comms protocol as other Magellan 8300/8400/9300/9600 scales.

2. This is a Shelf Mount unit, meaning you will need your tradesman to construct your own shelf for the unit inside your shop counter to securely sit on. The top surface of the scale/scanner will then flush with your counter-top. Alternatively please ask about the Flange Mount version. We recommend you await physical delivery of your Datalogic unit to your premises before commencing any carpentry work for its fitting.

3. Your local Weights & Measures, Trading Standards may need to attend on-site to calibrate and certify these scales. Additional fees may apply for certification.

4. The included Pole Display is a remote unit with its own fixing bracket and runs via a cable to the main unit. (The above-pictured black pole is the CSS voucher/coupon scanner, the remote weight display is pictured above in grey).

5. Price quoted above is for supply only. If you require technical support to configure the scale for your POS software, physical installation or programming of scale settings and parameters then these specialist consultancy services are available at additional cost.
