Safescan 155-S Automatic Counterfeit Detector

The Safescan 155-S Automatic Counterfeit Detector provides fast and accurate automatic verification of British Pound, Euro, Scottish Pound and Northern Ireland Pound banknotes. Simply insert a banknote and the Safescan 155-S automatically checks it on up to eight security features in less than half a second.

When a suspected counterfeit banknote is detected, the machine immediately displays an error message and sounds an alarm. Its compact design, large 3.8" LCD display and simple controls make it ideal for retail counters, hospitality environments and other businesses that require quick and straightforward banknote verification.

The Safescan 155-S accurately verifies modern UK polymer banknotes, including both Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III series. British, Scottish and Northern Ireland Pound banknotes can also be verified together when using GBP mode.

Fast Automatic Banknote Verification

Unlike manual UV counterfeit detectors, the Safescan 155-S automatically analyses the security characteristics of each inserted banknote and provides a clear verification result.

Verification takes less than half a second, helping cashiers check banknotes quickly without manually examining individual security features.

Up to 8 Security Checks

The Safescan 155-S checks banknotes on up to eight security features. The exact combination of checks used depends on the currency and banknote being verified.

Add & Value Counting

The Safescan 155-S includes an Add function that automatically totals the quantity and monetary value of verified banknotes.

Space-Saving Design

The Safescan 155-S features an innovative banknote exit guide that directs processed notes upwards instead of requiring additional space behind the machine.

This limits the required operational workspace to approximately 15.6cm, making the unit particularly suitable for compact tills, checkout counters and other areas where space is limited.

The machine can also be configured so banknotes exit from either the front or the rear to suit different counter layouts.

Portable Operation

For mobile or temporary cash-handling environments, the Safescan 155-S can be used with the optional Safescan LB-105 rechargeable battery.
