Q-Next Lite is a 'call forward' type of queue management system. It is used where there is a single queue and the person at the front of the queue has to be directed to the next available counter. No tickets or appointments are required so it is ideal for walk-in services and retail cashier counters.
The Lite version has a smaller 10" Main Display with Sound and supports a maximum of 5 counters and English language voice announcements only. (See the Pro version for increased capacity and advanced features). Q-Next Lite directs the waiting person to the next available counter, with a flashing screen message and an audio announcement. Each counter has a 'call' console button to call the next customer or visitor.
Each counter may also be fitted with an optional 10" Digital Counter Display. This displays the counter number and flashes green when a call is made to help direct the customer to that counter. It can also be used for advertising graphics and information display in idle mode.
There are
no monthly/annual subscription fees with this QMS system - simply purchase it outright for permanent use without any ongoing payment.
TYPICAL USES
The Q-Next Lite queue management system is suitable for use at locations with upto 5 counters maximum, including:
- Post Offices

It is also suitable for other requirements that need to promptly and clearly show the person waiting at the front of the queue which is the next operator, counter or service desk available to go to. IMPROVE VISITOR/CUSTOMER FLOW
Where your waiting customers cannot see the service desk or counter, they are chatting, browsing on their smartphones or simply day-dreaming the Q-Next Lite will alert them visually on the large display screen and audibly with a tone and voice announcement of an available counter and keep your queue moving swiftly.
Where you process large numbers of visitors or customers Q-Next Lite will help maximise throughput, customer satisfaction and operating efficiency.
EASY FOR OPERATOR/CASHIER
Each operator has a compact keypad console on their counter/desk to call the next visitor. The large digital display then shows that counter/desk number and makes an audible voice announcement. Alternatively we can provide a Virtual Console App for use on Windows tablets, laptops or PC's for the operator to use.
With the optional 10" Digital Counter Display fitted to each counter, it can show the counter is available with flashing counter number when the next visitor is called.
CUSTOM SCREEN CONTENT
The main display screen can be configured to include your logo, advertising and information content including images and videos. If connected to the internet, it can also display live weather information and news feeds from specified RSS channels. It also shows a status summary of all the counters - showing which ones are free (in green) and which ones are busy (in red). Each counter console can be enabled / disabled at any time to show its in use.
The optional counter displays (10") can also be set up to show your logo, advertising graphics and information screens.
WIRELESS OR WIRED SYSTEM FOR COUNTERS
The standard package includes a WiFi Access Point. This means no data cabling is required around your counters as the operator consoles are wireless using WiFi via our supplied AP device. Just 1 power point is required for each physical console (unless you use the Windows app). The Access Point (AP) provides approximately 150sqm open-plan area coverage for the operator consoles.
The wireless consoles (and optional Counter Displays) are suitable in an open plan area where all the components are within a single 150sqm (approx) zone. If you have a larger area or walls, doors, partitions and other such obstructions within your premises we do not guarantee that the signal strength will be sufficient or reliable to pass through these. More powerful AP's and Extenders covering a wider area are available.
Alternatively, if wifi is not suitable then you can choose Wired Operator Consoles (Ethernet or RS485) and Ethernet-wired Counter Displays instead.
Wired Ethernet Connections:
The main QMS server box will need an Ethernet cable connection to your router. If you use wireless operator consoles, then the Access Pount will also connect by Ethernet cable to your router to be able to communicate with the QMS server. If you use the wired (Ethernet) operator consoles then each one will need to be connected back to a central Router/Switch. If you use wired (RS485) operator consoles, then the first console will connect by RS485 cable to the QMS server, and the other consoles will each connect to the next console in a daisy-chain using RS485 cables.
You can self-label your counters with the counter number, or fit the optional 10" digital counter colour displays which can operate via WiFi or Ethernet cable. Mounted above each counter it can display the counter number in a large size and flash to show the counter is available.
QMS SYSTEM SERVICES
We provide services for pre-configuration of the QMS system so it is delivered ready to install and use.
Pre-Configuration Service
With our Pre-Configuration service we will perform the following tasks:
* Set up the content of the Main Display Screen including logo, scrolling media (upto 10 items), RSS news feeds, Weather Information feed, Voice Announcements
* Program each physical operator console for the required queue / service settings and IP addresses
* Remote configure each virtual console for the required queue/service
* Set up the IP addresses, contents and settings of the optional Counter Display screens
* Remote setup of system management app
Installation & Training Service (optional)
Our installation service is to connect the QMS system components to the specified electrical points and network points. We then test all the equipment and provide training to your system manager in the operation of the system.
We do not perform any building work such as carpentry, drilling, trunking, climbing ladders, access ceiling fittings or carrying out electrical wiring. You will need to arrange a professional tradesperson to carry out this work. Prior to our installation visit, and following a Site Survey, we will provide an Installation Plan for you to arrange for your own contractor to fit the required power points and Ethernet network points at the required positions. Where wired consoles are selected, then your contractor will also need to run the Ethernet or RS485 cables to each of your counters/desks. They will also need to fit any required wall brackets or ceiling poles with brackets, and hang the main display screens in the required positions.
For site visits for the survey and installation/training our out-of-pocket travel expenses would be payable. These would be advised and pre-agreed prior to the visit.
* Provision of the Installation Plan for all QMS system components
* Connection of the Server Box & Main Display Screen
* Connection of the Wireless Access Point (for Wifi Operator Consoles)
* Connection of the (optional) RS485-Serial Adapter or Router
* Connection of the Operator Consoles (Wifi or Wired)
* Connection of the (optional) Counter Displays
