Product Information


The Casio SR-S500 (SRS500) supersedes the popular Casio SE-S400. It is a mid-range retail till for use at convenience stores and minimarkets, with its fast thermal printer, hi-definition blue LCD display and stylish silver/black casing.

With Bluetooth connectivity, the SR-S500 till can be linked to your Smartphone for live reports and easy product/price changes. You can instantly view weekly, monthly and annual sales going back upto 25 months worth of archived sales data.



It is one of the latest high-specification Casio retail cash registers offered by TecStore with a modern slimline design and multi-line operator display.

The SR-S500 is very quick to set up, very easy for operator use and provides various X/Z reports. You can include your shop details on the receipt, apply discounts to transactions, and easily correct typing mistakes. You may optionally add a barcode scanner (see our Scanning Tills section) to speed up the point-of-sale process.

MULTI-LINE OPERATOR DISPLAY
The 10-line operator display allows the cashier to see several lines of transaction, for easy verification of entries and to correct previous line items. It also makes the till easier to use when accessing the Program Features and X/Z report options.

REAR CUSTOMER DISPLAY
The rear pop-up customer display allows the customer to see the item description and price as you register each item, and the total amount and change due when the transaction is finalised. This can be turned to the desired angle.

FULL SIZE CASH DRAWER
The SR-S500 has a full size robust cash drawer with 4 banknote sections with sturdy spring clips, and 8 sizeable coin compartments. The cash tray can be lifted out. There is a slot at the front of the drawer to allow slips to be inserted without opening the drawer. An over-ride lock allows the drawer to be secured when the till is not attended.

SINGLE THERMAL PRINTER
The single 57mm-width thermal printer can be set to either receipt printing mode or journal mode. When in Receipt mode, the Paper Saving feature allows the receipt printer to be switched off and used only on demand when the customer requests a receipt. If set to Journal Mode, the printer systematically records every transaction and activity on the cash register, giving you an extra level of security and letting you audit all the tasks that have been carried out on the till (receipts cannot be printed in Journal mode).

DEPARTMENT KEYS
Upto 25 individual department keys allow you to analyse your sales easily. You can create departments such as Tobacco, Soft Drinks, Chocolates, Bakery and so on and register transaction lines against these, so you get a sales analysis report by department, and the till also supports multiple VAT rates.

OPTIONAL BARCODE SCANNER
An optional barcode scanner can be connected to the SR-S500 which supports upto 3000 PLU's, storing the price, description, vat rate and department for each barcode for automated look-up when scanning. See our Scanning Tills section.

OPTIONAL PROGRAMMING SERVICE
With our Programming Service we can pre-configure the till with the date/time, your name/address details on the receipt header and other text on receipt footer, and program upto 25 Departments and label the keys. This means on delivery, your machine is instantly ready for use. With the Advanced service, we can also set up multiple tax rates and clerks.

Note: If you book the training service, this covers the cash register use only. We do not provide training on Smartphone app/Bluetooth connectivity, except on payment of additional fee.

CONSUMABLES
Three x AA batteries are required for the memory backup. (not included).
The SR-S500 uses 57mm width thermal paper rolls, upto 57mm diameter (see Till Rolls section). One sample roll is included in the box.
