Replaces former Sam Lite program

Program available as a download / email. Optional RS232 Data Cable or Memory Card sent by signed post.

eSpresso is a Windows-based program for programming Sam4s NR510R, NR510F and NR520R cash registers and running reports, as well as editing and printing the keyboard sheet with your menu items. It is also suitable for the Sam4s ER230/ER-230 portable till and the Sam4s ER260/ER-260 retail cash register.

If you are managing lots of products on your cash register, or making frequent changes, then the eSpresso software saves a lot of time, reduces errors and makes the whole process much more streamlined. It also allows you to retrieve sales data and run various financial and sales analysis reports.

The program is compatible with Windows 10 and 11 computers & laptops. (Not suitable for Apple Mac computers). It replaces the former SamLite program which is now discontinued.

You can transfer program settings and sales data from the NR500 series cash register using either an SDHC memory card. For the other Sam4s models you will need to purchase the optional RS232 Data Cable with 9-pin plug (we do not support the use of USB-RS232 adapters).

Main Features of the eSpresso Program:
* Add new products
* Change products/prices
* Edit & Print keyboard layout (on an A4 printer)
* Import/Export PLU's to/from Excel spreadsheets
* Connect via SDHC card (NR500 models) or RS232 Serial cable
* Receipt header/footer message & Logo
* Backup ECR Program
* Historic Sales & Financial Reports
* Manage Product Groups & NLU's
* Manage VAT/Tax rates
* Define cash register settings & options
* Set keyboard shift for different time schedules
* Program function keys and function parameters
* Manage clerks, passwords and security settings
* Manage stock levels
* Program Macro shortcuts
* Perform Memory Allocation
* Define Mix & Match offers and promotions

We provide instructions with the program on installation and how to transfer your program/data to/from PC and Till using an SDHC card.

The eSpresso program is easy to install and use, with a series of menus and data editing screens. Here are some sample screenshots from the program:

Notes:

1. With this latest Espresso version 1.2.1, your NR-510/520 cash register will need to have EPROM version 2.005 or above. If you require assistance with EPROM update please contact us for a quote.

2. If you have other apps on your computer which use a different sql version, or 3rd-party apps or drivers that interfere with installation or use of the program, then you will need to uninstall those or use a different computer. In newer Windows versions 'S' mode will need to be disabled, and you may need to set the program to work in Compatibility Mode.

3. Programming utilities are designed for dealers and technically competent end-users already familiar with them. Beyond the setup instructions included, we do not provide free user support or training on these utility programs - please purchase our technical support or training services if required.

4. Shipping of the optional RS232 data cable or SDHC memory card is free in the UK Mainland only. Additional delivery charges will apply for addresses outside UK Mainland.
