The Avery FX50 Retail Price Computing Scale is a compact, robust, and easy-to-use weighing solution designed for everyday retail price computing applications. With a 15kg capacity, customer-facing display options, 50 PLU memories, and flexible mains or rechargeable battery operation, the FX50 provides a practical solution for retailers requiring accurate weighing and straightforward price calculation.
The FX50 is available with either an integrated rear customer display or a popup customer display, allowing businesses to select the configuration that best suits their counter layout. Backlit front and rear LCD displays are fitted as standard, with large 20mm characters providing clear visibility of weight, unit price, and total price information.
The standard FX50 features a flat weighing plate with a generous platter size of 326 x 244mm. A freestanding stainless-steel Fruit & Veg Scoop is listed as an optional configuration, although this option is currently unavailable.
For frequently sold products, the FX50 provides 50 PLU memories. Twelve direct PLU keys allow rapid access to the most popular products, while a further 38 PLUs can be recalled using their PLU numbers.
The scale includes Tare, Fix, Zero, and Clear functions. The Tare function allows the weight of an empty container to be deducted, while the Hold/Fix function stores the current price per kilogram for convenient repeat transactions. Pricing can be entered either per kilogram or per 100g.
The Avery FX50 can operate from mains power using its 100-240V switch-mode power supply or from its internal rechargeable 6V 4amp sealed lead acid battery. Battery operation provides up to 80 hours of use with the display backlight switched off or up to 35 hours with the backlight switched on.
