The Safescan 185-S supports eight pre-installed currencies and allows supported banknotes to be inserted in any direction. It automatically recognises the currency and denomination, performs the required security checks, and provides a clear result on its large LCD display.

Modern UK polymer banknotes are fully supported, including both Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III series. When a suspicious banknote is detected, the machine immediately provides both an audio and visual warning.
