The Safescan 1550 can be adjusted to count virtually any worldwide coin or round token within its supported diameter and thickness range. Two adjustable controls allow the operator to set the required coin diameter and thickness before counting.

Its automatic off-sorting function diverts coins or tokens that do not match the selected settings into a separate reject outlet, ensuring that only the selected coin type is directed into the attached coin bag or roll.

For quantities exceeding the hopper capacity, the Add function can automatically accumulate results across multiple counting runs, allowing the operator to maintain one continuous total.

Counting Mixed Coins

When processing unsorted coins, Safescan recommends starting with the denomination that has the largest diameter. Coins with a smaller diameter are automatically diverted through the reject outlet.

Once the largest denomination has been counted, the machine can be adjusted for the next-largest denomination and the remaining coins can be processed again. This process can be repeated until all required denominations have been counted.

Automatic Off-Sorting

The Safescan 1550 features an automatic off-sorting function that identifies coins or tokens that do not match the selected diameter or thickness settings.

These items are automatically diverted into the separate rejected-coin tray, helping ensure that only the selected coin or token type reaches the collection bag or roll.

Automatic Batch Counting

The Batch function allows a specific quantity to be programmed before counting begins. The Safescan 1550 automatically pauses whenever the selected batch quantity is reached.

This is particularly useful when preparing coin bags, rolls, bank deposits or cash drawers containing predetermined quantities.
