The SocketScan S740 is a universal Bluetooth Barcode Scanner, able to read 1D and 2D barcodes on paper and screen. The S740 has been enhanced to scan small barcodes and has a scanning range of 2 to 19 inches.
Reads 1D, 2D, OCR A & B fonts, OCR USC, OCR passport, OCR MICR (E13B) fonts and DotCode, covering most travel identification documents, including passports, international IDs and micro QR codes on drivers’ licenses.
The S740 is an ideal option for the many POS/retail outlets that require age verification. For retail businesses that sell cannabis, alcohol, or tobacco, the S740 is an all-in-one scanning device, allowing workers to verify age and complete POS operations with a single device, minimizing the equipment needed. The S740 is lightweight, ergonomically designed and comes with long-lasting batteries.
The scanner is exceptionally easy to use, with intuitive notifications for battery level, Bluetooth connection, and scanning status.
