POS SCALES INTEGRATION
Integration involves configuring the scale protocol and communication settings and POS software settings to work with each other. Where supplied with a POS system from TecStore, the integration work is included in the package price. If purchased separately, our prices are for supply only - please contact us for a quote if you require technical support to integrate a scale with your own POS software.

POS SCALES COMPATIBILITY
With our CES Touch, ICR Touch and SamTouch POS software you can use either the CAS PDII, the Avery FX120 or Datalogic Magellan series scales or combo scanner/scales. The Dibal scales are tested to work with SamTouch. For other POS software, please check with your POS software provider who will advise which model of scale(s) are compatible with their program.

HOW POS SCALES WORK
When using a POS Weighing Scale, you would typically select the food item on the POS System's touch screen (eg. Apple, Banana, Carrots, Feta Cheese, Chicken Drumsticks etc), where the Price per Kg, Product Description and other product information is stored. The POS software will then read the weight from the scale, and automatically price it based on the selected product on the touch screen.

SCANNER & SCALE UNITS
Although combined into one physical unit, the multi-sided barcode scanner and scale operate as 2 separate devices, with each having its own connection to your POS terminal. On our standard specification Datalogic Magellan 9300i and 9600i we supply 2 Serial cables for connection of the scanner and the scale. (Other configurations including USB are available, depending on your software provider's stated specification).
