HARDWARE COMPATIBILITY
If you are intending to use your own POS hardware with our POS software you are responsible for determining compatibility. We can advise you the minimum specification which is generally as below. We charge on an hourly basis of £65 per hour (with a minimum £45 charge) for our remote technical support service for 3rd-party equipment to check compatibility, check the settings and carry out any configuration of your hardware and peripherals.
Note we cannot provide any guarantee that your equipment will work with our POS software as it can depend on how your equipment has been configured, if it is fully working and reliable, whether you have the correct power supply and data cable, whether current English language documentation is available for it, if its needs to be re-configured, what rom/operating system version you have, and what settings have been previously configured on the equipment - our support fees are payable to cover our technician's professional time.
If you wish to avoid these fees and compatibility risks, we recommend you purchase all your equipment from us as a package solution.
POS Touchscreen Terminals:
Minimum screen size 10"
Operating System: Windows 10 IoT 64-bit or Windows 11 IoT 64-bit
Minimum RAM: 4gb
Storage: minimum 20gb plus space for your data
Required number and type of ports for connecting peripherals.
You must have full Administrator level Windows access with any required password. Any 3rd-party products which may interfere with the POS software will need to be removed.
Receipt Printer
80mm width Epson-compatible thermal printer
Set to operate in RS232 serial mode or wired Ethernet mode (you will need to set and provide the serial communication settings or the IP address of your printer/s).
Cash Drawer
24v RJ11 printer interface cash drawer.
Your receipt printer will need to have a cash drawer kickout port.
Barcode Scanner
USB interface scanner that supports all the major 1D barcode symbologies.
Other peripherals
For other equipment such as customer display screens, magstripe readers, fingerprint sensors, weighing scales we will need to receive additional details from you to advise compatibility with our POS software.
