Terms of Business

By placing an order with TecStore you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to the following terms & conditions:


ACCEPTANCE

When you order by telephone, our representative will ask you to confirm you have read these Terms prior to confirming your order. This call may be recorded for verification. We will send you written confirmation of your order and a copy of these Terms by email or post.


When you order online on our website, you will be asked to confirm acceptance of these Terms on the Final Checkout page prior to clicking the 'Confirm Order' button. This will be logged with date, time and your IP Address. A copy of your order and these Terms will be emailed you on completion of your order.


PRICING & PAYMENT

1. All prices published on our website are for equipment supply only, unless otherwise stated. Where configuration, installation and training services are required these extra services will incur additional charges.


2. Prices and specifications are subject to change without notice. Errors and omissions are excepted.


3. We accept payment by Visa/Mastercard credit and debit card, Sterling cash, cheque (subject to clearance) drawn on a UK bank account and bank transfer. We may restrict the methods of payment for certain transactions at our discretion.


4. Where payment is being made through a leasing company, delivery will only be effected once we receive written confirmation from the leasing company that all necessary documents and the deposit payment has been received.


DELIVERY

5. Where delivery is required to your address in the UK, our delivery charges will be advised and added to your order before you choose to complete payment. For international orders, please contact us with your required items and full delivery address for a shipping quote prior to placing your order.


6. If you require Same Day Delivery, please telephone first to check availability and reserve your item as we do not hold all configurations of all products in stock. For online and telephone orders of standard configuration items, we aim to despatch most orders the same or following working day if in stock or otherwise as soon as possible and in any event within 14 days of receiving your order and full cleared payment if not stated otherwise. Goods are sent by our own delivery driver or otherwise by tracked and insured courier service. Small value items may be sent by Royal Mail with proof of posting obtained, unless the customer wishes to pay for courier delivery.


7. Where configuration, customisation or programming is required as part of an equipment order then equipment will be despatched once the work has been completed within our technicians work schedule. Special Order items may take longer - please call to check lead time before ordering. A Special Order is an item we have purchased in specifically for you at your request, or an item which has been customised or programmed specifically for you, or where you have ordered an item which we do not normally hold in stock.


8. Delivery timescales stated on our website or advised by us are typical indications only and do not form a guaranteed delivery date or time. Time shall not be of the essence. Where third-party delivery services are used we will not be responsible for any delay due to bad weather, vehicle failure or other reason outside our direct control.


SUPPLY

9. Goods are not supplied on a trial basis. You must satisfy yourself that the goods you purchase are suitable for your requirements prior to purchase.


10. Goods are supplied to business customers solely for commercial use. We do not supply goods or services to consumers for private personal use. If you are not a business customer, you undertake to notify us in writing prior to placing an order.

 

TITLE

11. All goods will remain our property until paid for in full.


LIMITED IABILITY

12. Except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, our maximum liability shall not exceed the price paid to us for goods and services. Where you have ordered a package of multiple items, our liability shall be limited to the value of just those items which we have not delivered within a reasonable time.

 

CANCELLATION, RETURNS & REFUND POLICY

13. Orders may be cancelled prior to despatch (for delivery orders) or prior to being ready for collection (for collection orders). Cancellation must be advised in writing, as per clause 20 below.


14. Items may be returned for exchange or refund, providing you confirm in writing within 3 working days of delivery and the items are returned unused within 7 days of delivery with all original packaging, documentation and accessories intact in a resellable condition at our full selling price. We will provide a refund, less our shopping costs. Where an item has been opened, we may still be able to exchange or refund subject to inspection and there may be a re-stocking fee if packaging has to be replaced. (If you are not sure how to set up or use a product, please first consult the manufacturers documentatation or contact our technical support service for assistance).


Where you exchange an item, we will refund the original transaction and process a new payment transaction for the exchanged item.


15. Where you have ordered multiple items or a package of items, any discount will be cancelled or re-calculated if you return or cancel some items.


16. We are not responsible for returned goods unless we have issued a Returns Authorisation Number to you in writing and you have returned the items to us within the stipulated timeframe to the designated returns address. Any goods sent or left at our premises without a Returns Authorisation Number will not be our responsibility and will either be disposed of or you will be liable to pay storage charges until they are collected.


17. Software products, once opened, registered or installed, cannot be returned under any circumstances.


18. Where a refund is due, it will be processed within 7 days of our receipt, and satisfactory inspection, of any equipment that is to be returned. Refunds are processed using the same payment method you used for your order, and if payment was made by card, to the original card used for the purchase.

 

GENERAL

19. The laws of England shall apply to these Terms.


 


WARRANTY INFORMATION


W1. All goods are covered by the full manufacturers return-to-base warranty, excluding consumables such as bulbs which are not covered by warranty. Faulty items will be replaced (at our sole discretion) or repaired under the manufacturers warranty. There is no automatic entitlement to return such items for a refund, except at our sole discretion.


W2. We do not provide any warranties beyond that stated by the manufacturer. We do not warrant that the products you purchase will meet your current or future needs or perform in the manner desired by you - products will perform substantially in accordance with the manufacturers stated specification. In any event, except for personal injury or death caused by our negligence, our maximum liability to you will not exceed the price you paid for any goods and/or services.


 


TECHNICAL SUPPORT INFORMATION


T1. For products purchased from us, technical support is available by phone, email and remote access between the hours of 10am-4pm Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays) on a reasonable use basis to provide help with specific queries with setup and usage. Calls can be made to our standard 0208 number or by email to [email protected]. A call ticket will be raised and a technician will then respond to you as soon as possible within a queuing system.

T2. Free support is available on all products purchased from us for a period of 1 year from the purchase date unless otherwise stated. We will call back to a UK landline number only or to a UK mobile number. We cannot call international numbers or other high-rate telephone numbers for technical support - please use the email service instead.

T3. We cannot provide free technical support on products, accessories or software that you have purchased elsewhere. We will not provide technical support if you abuse or threaten our staff. We cannot provide free support if a problem has resulted due to a computer virus that you have acquired, due to failure of any product / accessory that you obtained from elsewhere or due to unauthorised tampering with system configuration settings by anyone. We reserve the right to deny support services where any sums due to us remain outstanding without prejudice to any other right we may exercise to recover outstanding payment. Where support service is suspended the time period will be forfeited from the free support period or any subscription.

T4. Our free support service does not include any guaranteed response time, fix time or any on-site call out - a call-out fee or paid subscription to our higher level support services will be required for these higher level service requirements.
