Location & Duration:
Our courses are hands-on interactive training sessions held at our offices in London or Hertfordshire. Level One course (standard agenda) duration is 1 day. Level Two courses are 2 days. Prices stated are per person, per course. Discounts are available for group bookings. Training days run from 10am to 4pm, with complimentary refreshments and lunch included.
Our cash register training course can cover either Retail
usage with barcode scanning and retail functions for convenience stores, supermarkets, accessory shops, gift and clothing stores, or Hospitality
usage for cafes, bars, pubs, hotels and restaurants.
Certification & Course Materials:
A Training Certificate is issued to all candidates who successfully complete one of our training courses. You will also be given a Course Book summarising the features covered. We also provide a free 30-day support service by phone and email for any further questions you have after the training.
Level One Course: Operator Training
Our Level One beginners training course covers all the standard operational features of a cash register, with hands-on exercises, including:

Touch Screen Till - Operator Training covers using a touch screen POS system with one of the widely used software packages such as ICR Touch and SamTouch and covers all the common POS features.
Level Two Course: Management Training
Our Level Two course (over 2 days) is available for experienced till operators and store / restaurant managers. We provide in-depth training in an extensive set of management and back-office functions including:
* Changing Receipt header/footer text and logo
* Defining VAT/Tax rates
* Amending Prices
* Adding new PLU's
* Editing Groups & Departments
* Key Tops / Keysheet editing / printing for cash registers
* Operator Login records and security settings
* Stock Management functions
* Customising receipt content
* Customising x/z report content
* Customising function keys
* Programming discount functions
* Defining Promotions and Mix & Match Offers
* Sales Analysis Reports
* Linking to PC Software
* Exporting sales data
On touchscreen POS software we also cover editing screen layouts, menus and buttons, any graphical table plans and any customer account / loyalty point functions, printing product labels and shelf-edge labels.
a - Please call us first on 020 8936 7000 to check availability and provisionally reserve a place for your required course, number of candidates and date(s).
b - We will then email you an invoice, payment details and Candidate Questionnaire.
c - Once we receive your payment and completed Candidate Questionnaire(s) for each candidate, we will confirm your booking by email.
Courses are booked 2 weeks in advance and full payment must be received at least 10 days before the training date. Level One courses are usually run each Tuesday. Level Two courses are usually run Wednesday-Thursday. We can offer other days on request.
Note 1 - Equipment Model:
Different models of cash registers and touchscreen till systems / software differ slightly in features, operation and design. Our courses are designed to provide you with training on a particular popular model of cash register / till system and to give you practical usage experience. You may however require further training by your employer to cover any features and processes specific to the model you may actually use. If you require training on a specific model of cash register / till system software then please contact us with your requirements.
Note 2 - Pricing:
Prices stated are per candidate. Discounts are available for group bookings of 3 or more candidates.
Note 3 - On-site Training:
We can also provide cash register till training at your premises, subject to our travel related costs (including fuel, travel time & parking fees). Please contact us to arrange a booking.
Note 4 - Cancellation Policy:
Once a course booking is confirmed by us or if a candidate does not attend we cannot issue any refund. However, if 7 days prior notice is given we may be able to re-schedule your booking subject to availability on the new requested date. You can substitute a candidate as long as you give us at least 72 hours notice and send a completed Candidate Questionnaire for the replacement person.
Note 5 - Follow up Support:
The 30 days follow up support relates to clarifying features covered during the training. It is not a technical support service for troubleshooting any issues with your equipment.
