The Datalogic Magellan 9300i is our most popular integrated counter scale & scanner for busy supermarkets.

It integrates a flush-fit weighing scale with a new class of high performance bar code scanner with digital imagers in all planes, allowing it to read both 1D and 2D bar codes seamlessly without requiring item orientation by the cashier. Perfect for busy cashiers.

With a more traditional bonnet height and large horizontal and vertical windows, the Magellan 9300i allows optimum positioning for POS or self-checkout touchscreens, payment terminals and printers while maintaining ergonomic comfort for both seated and standing cashiers.









The optional Magellan Customer Service Scanner (CSS) enables retailers to easily engage their customers in mobile commerce programs, allowing them to scan bar codes from their mobile phone screen or paper coupons while the cashier continues to scan regular items in parallel, resulting in a significant reduction in total transaction time.

Innovative features and options such as ScaleSentry™ shrink monitoring/prevention technology, AllWeighs™ platters and the support of all major EAS systems make 9300i purpose-built to help retailers reduce shrink at the POS.

Special Notes:
1. Please check compatibility with your POS software provider prior to purchasing this item. This unit comes with 2 RS232 serial cables (1 each for the scanner and scale) and uses the same comms protocol as other Magellan 8300/8400 scales.

2. This is a Shelf Mount unit, meaning you will need your tradesman to construct your own shelf for the unit inside your shop counter to securely sit on. The top surface of the scale/scanner will then flush with your counter-top. Alternatively please ask about the Flange Mount version. We recommend you await physical delivery of your Datalogic unit to your premises before commencing any carpentry work for its fitting.

3. Your local Weights & Measures, Trading Standards may need to attend on-site to calibrate and certify these scales. Additional fees may apply for certification.

4. The included Pole Display is a remote unit with its own fixing bracket and runs via a cable to the main unit. (The above-pictured black pole is the CSS voucher/coupon scanner, the remote weight display is pictured above in grey).

5. Price quoted above is for supply only. If you require technical support to configure the scale for your POS software, physical installation or programming of scale settings and parameters then these specialist consultancy services are available at additional cost.
