Product Information

See newer models Datalogic Magellan 9300i and Datalogic Magellan 9800i which are compatible. If your software works with an 8400, then it will also readily work with the 9300i and 9800i.

If you operate a busy supermarket then the Magellan 8400 is the flatbed scanner and scale of choice.

FEATURES
It features a bi-optic, 5-sided laser scanner with outstanding first-pass read rates, allowing you to scan first time every time, serving your customers faster, and increasing staff efficiency and customer satisfaction.

ADVANTAGES
The Datalogic patented All-Weighs scale platter provides fast and accurate weighing of food items such as fruit, vegetables, meat, cheese, nuts, olives and other fresh produce and connects directly to your compatible POS system with an RS232 data cable.

OPTIONS OF THE MAGELLAN 8400
Two remote scale display options are available; a single display on a pole and a dual display on a single pole for applications requiring separate displays for the cashier and customer.

The auxiliary RS-232 port can be utilized in a variety of ways, including adding a handheld scanner, programming and configuring the scanner, or accessing the scanners’ label data output. For applications requiring electronic article surveillance (EAS), the 8400 scanner can be equipped with Checkpoint EAS and can support integrated Sensormatic EAS antennas with good-read acknowledgement via the auxiliary RS-232 port.

Available in 6kg or 15kg scale capacity.
