The CAS LP1 is a popular entry-level labelling scale suitable for butchers, delicatessen, fishmongers, bakers, farm shops and small supermarkets. It is UK Trade Approved CLASS III for retail use and comes with a conformance certificate.

The LP1 is a robust entry-level label printing scale available in either 15kg or 30kg capacity. Priced affordably, yet delivers reliable performance in busy retail environments. It prints large, clear, easy-to-read price / barcode labels for items from a minimum 100g weight.

It is suited where you simply wish to print a price/barcode label with the product name, weight, packed/use-by date and short text for ingredients/allergy or storage instructions (upto 51 characters). If you wish to print longer text for ingredients, or require more preset keys, then see our higher-end CAS scales such as the CL-5200 or CL-5500.

Once connected with its Pole Display and powered on, the scale is ready for instant use, simply by typing in the "Price per Kg". No programming is needed for generic labels. But the scale is more useful if you do pre-program the prices, descriptions, life time (for Use By date) and other details for each of your popular products, as well as your Shop Name and Telephone No.

The LP1 has 54 'Fast Keys' that allows you to automatically price and label your most popular items at the press of 2 buttons. If you have more than 54 products, you can use the 2nd Shift Level keys or access the other products by code number (1 to 10,000).

You can produce labels for both weighed items (price per kg) as well as items sold individually (price each). For example, grapes may be sold at £5.00 per kg, but lemons may be sold at £0.40 each. The barcode label will show either the weight or the number of items, and the calculated price.

GENERIC LABEL OR PRODUCT-SPECIFIC LABELS
You may simply print a generic label by entering the "Price per Kg" on the keypad or the quantity - this can be done instantly without any programming - it will print the Price per Kg or Qty, the Weight of the item, the Calculated price and the printed date on each barcode label. Or you can program and preset your individual products and price rates for a product-specific label with the Product Name, Price per Kg, Calculated Weight & Price, Packed on Date and optional Sell By date (or Use By date - see Template Option above). Ingredients/Allergens and Traceability details can be included but for these extra details you will need to use the larger (58x60mm) size labels.

CAS label rolls have a pre-printed graphic template. There are multiple standard template formats to choose from. With the PC software you can also design your own label template. Label PLU content can be: PLU name, ingredients / allergies (upto 51 characters), packed-on date, sell by date, unit price, weight, total price, store name & address, time, plu number and barcode. Alternatively you can purchase blank label rolls and, using the optional CL Works program, completely design your own label template.

The LP1 has a large platter size of 400mm Width x 245mm Depth. The double-sided Pole Display is clear and easy to read, for both the operator and the shop customer.

The scale has 54 preset keys for fast moving items which stores the product details and Price Per Kg, as well as other programmed information. It further supports upto 10000 PLU items accessible by code number. You may also type in a price manually and print a generic label for non-preset items. The exact capacity depends on available memory if you also store ingredients data or other handling/storage information.

The machine can be used for pre-packed items or at the point-of-sale counter for weighing and price labelling items. The barcode format can be set from one of the universal symbologies (EAN, UPC or Int2of5) with either price-embedded or weight-embedded and are compatible with almost all cash registers and touchscreen POS scanning systems.

If you sell loose items that are sold by fixed price (not by weight), then the 'For' function can also be used to price those items and print a barcode label. Or the PLU can be programmed to prompt the operator for the quantity.

The 'Add' function allows you to add multiple items together to produce an overall transaction total and barcode label.

The CAS LP scale prints 3 different types of reports showing Total Sales (number of transactions, total amount), Individual PLU Sales (total weight, total no. of sales, total value) and Non-PLU Sales (total weight, total no. of sales, total value).

CONFIGURATION SERVICE (Optional)
With our optional Programming Service we send you a form to complete with a list of your items and their Price Per Kg or Price Each (prices can easily be updated afterwards too) and sell by days and any barcode format requirements. We then configure the scale and professionally label the keys, so your pre-programmed Label Printing Scale is delivered ready for immediate use.

The standard Programming Service fee covers set up of your store name, telephone number and names / prices of upto 54 products. If you have additional products and/or require advanced features such as recipe, ingredients or other content on the label please contact us with your requirements for a programming quote.

We can optionally provide On-site Installation and Operator Training on this CAS label printing scale - please call with your address details for a quote.

PC SOFTWARE: (Optional)
Basic programming may be done directly on the scale, it is not necessary to use PC software. But if you have many items to program, or you update your product details and prices frequently, or use advanced features or design your own label format, then it is easier to do so using the PC program.

CL-Works is a Windows-based program that allows the CAS LP1 scale to be easily and quickly programmed. Using on-screen menus and screens on your computer or laptop you can add and amend PLU descriptions and prices, ingredients text, label content and store information as well as set up and print the keysheet for the 54 preset keys. The program is supplied with an RS232 data cable, so your PC / Laptop would require a 9-Pin Male Serial Port.

Optional PC Software - Special Note for connection
We do NOT support the use of USB/Serial adapters, so if you don't have a 9-pin serial port on your computer and choose to use a USB adapter you do so at your own risk and we would not support any connectivity issues. There are many variables across Windows versions and pin configuration of USB adapters. We always advise to use a computer/laptop that has an in-built 9-pin RS232 Serial port for use with the CAS LP1 pc software.
